Legal Counsel
Job Scope:
Reporting to the Company Secretary, the successful candidate will be required to provide legal support to business and operational Functions including:
- Drafting, vetting and negotiating a varied range of legal,commercial and corporate documents.
- Reviewing and advising on the Company’s rights and liabilities under existing commercial and corporate agreements.
- Applying for, renewing and administering the Company’s land leases, wayleaves, temporary occupation licenses, etc.
- Relieving and renewal of insurance policies and handling of claims.
- Assisting in corporate secretarial, internal controls and governance matters.
Job Requirements:
- LLB (Hons) from the National University of Singapore or a recognized university in a common law jurisdiction.
- Minimum 1-2 years’ post qualification experience in general corporate/commercial work, either in a law firm or in-house in a corporation (knowledge of/familiarity, with company, insurance and land law would be an advantage).
- Good command of written and spoken English.
- Conscientious, meticulous and analytical with good interpersonal and communication skills.
