Monash University Accident Research Centre (MUARC)
Established in 1987, the Monash University Accident Research Centre (MUARC) is now a World Health Organization Collaborating Centre on violence, injuries and disabilities. MUARC has established a research unit currently under the auspices of the Global Public Health Research Strength within the Jeffrey Cheah School of Medicine and Health Sciences at the Monash University Sunway campus in Malaysia.
MUARC Malaysia seeks to undertake high quality research and to contribute to evidence based policy in accident and injury prevention nationally and regionally. Through Global Public Health, the research will take a population based approach focusing on understanding the context of accidents and injuries and the implementation of preventive measures to improve population health.
MUARC Malaysia is seeking a dynamic senior researcher for the position of Head, Injury Prevention Research Cluster with an established record in injury prevention or related public health research to lead the research initiative through extending current research, supporting capacity building in the discipline through higher degree research, and contributing to national and international policy.
