1. Construction Supervisor (Development Program)
This is an intensive development program for supervising major topsides maintenance (structural, piping, fixed equipment and facilities) in oil and gas offshore platforms. The program is designed to develop your competency in safety fundamentals, including ExxonMobil work management processes, job planning and execution, risk management and supervisory skills. Upon successful completion of the program, you will be assigned as a construction supervisor in one of our offshore facilities in Terengganu working on a rotational basis.
What you will be doing:
- Drive excellence in safety, reliability, quality and productivity
- Supervise contract crews in fabrication, installation and modification of oil and gas facilities
- Assist onshore planners in developing quality work packs ó (job/ site preparation, work scope definition, material take off (MTO), personnel/ equipment needs and execution plans)
- Continuously evaluate contractor and sub-contractor safety, quality and performance including assessing the competency of personnel deployed

What you should have:
- A degree in Engineering/ Trade Training
- Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, motivated to succeed and demonstrated interest in extra curriculum activities
- Minimum 18 months of experience in the construction and/ or fabrication in heavy industry environment
- Sound understanding of construction and welding work practices, applicable codes and inspection requirements in oil and gas industry will be desirable

2. Electrical Maintenance Lead (Job Based in Kuala Lumpur)
What you will be doing:
- Ensure maintenance and repair of electrical equipment (power
generation, switchgear, motors) are performed in accordance to
approved standards to minimize cost and equipment downtime
- Develop electrical maintenance programs, inspections, and procedures for safe and effective implementation by offshore personnel
- Provide technical support to offshore personnel in the installation, commissioning, testing and troubleshooting of electrical equipment and instruments
- Lead or participate in root cause investigations of electrical equipment failures and steward corrective actions
- Endorse repair scope and provide oversight on major repair of electrical equipment at vendors’ shop
- Review training requirements and endorse work of E&I technicians undergoing Electrical Certification
- Assess and make recommendation for candidates to pursue Suruhanjaya Tenaga’s certification

What you should have:
- A degree in Engineering or Diploma in Electrical Power Engineering, and Certification from Suruhanjaya Tenaga
- Minimum 10 years of experience in operation, maintenance, overhaul and repair, calibration, testing and commissioning of electrical equipment
- Working knowledge of electrical power generation and distribution system
- Knowledge and experience in maintenance and repair of medium power switchgear
- Experience in coordination of related electrical project
- Demonstrated leadership qualities with strong communication skills (English) to interact effectively at all levels of the organization
- Knowledge of technologies, standards, and regulations associated with electrical power system and equipment used in offshore environment.

Tasks given to Mystery Shoppers:

From time to time, you will be receiving emails or calls when somewhere in your area there are visits (checks) available.

For every visit you will receive detailed instructions about where and when you will have to go, what you will have to look for etc. Usually we check cleanliness, friendliness of employees and their willingness to help you during your visit. All detailed information regarding the visit is always provided in these written instructions, in addition they are often given by telephone from one of our coordinators. Some specific checks require you to pass a special certification test.

After your visit, you will have to write an experience report telling us exactly what happened and also answer questions from a questionnaire. Both will be available online in your personal Service Checker account.

Your fee is determined by the project, before the visit and always visible in your instructions. After you perform a correct check, the payment will be arranged within a few weeks from the date of your visit. If you are asked to do the visit in a different city, you will be paid travel expenses in addition to your checker fee.

You can do more than one visit per month

In addition, if we ask you to buy something, we will cover your expenses.
So when doing a test check for us, you can often eat for free, or even get new clothing for free etc.

Economist
The British High Commission in Kuala Lumpur is part of a world-wide network of 230 Posts, representing British political, economic and consular interests overseas. This senior position will work to achieve the British Government’s objective of “a low carbon, high growth, global economy” by analysing economic developments and undertaking activities which advance the UK & Malaysia’s joint economic interests.
This includes work on the most exciting and high-level economic issues such as reform of the global financial and economic architecture, and close collaboration with the SE Asia climate change team.

As part of a regional team, you will also analyse and report SE Asian economic developments, and support UK policy throughout the region. You will join a team of six economists based throughout SE Asia reporting to the Team Leader based in Singapore.

Main Duties
- Monitoring, analysing and reporting regularly on the Malaysian economy
- Writing reports on SE Asian regional economic trends and developments to inform UK policymaking
- Fostering UK-Malaysian economic collaboration including input to negotiations an EU-Malaysia Free Trade Agreement
- Advancing UK economic objectives in Malaysia (in collaboration with UK diplomats). You will do this by developing a network of influential Malaysian contacts, acquiring detailed knowledge of the UK’s economic objectives, and providing clear briefing to senior diplomats and visitors
- Engaging relevant senior UK visitors to help us communicate UK priorities to senior Malaysian policymakers. You will facilitate these visits and work to increase UK-Malaysian expert-level contact
- Ensuring business continuity, by having a “secondary” – another economist in the regional team. This gives the jobholder an opportunity to expand their knowledge of the region

Requirements
- A degree in Economics or a related field, with preferably at least 3 years of relevant working experience
- Familiarity with the Malaysian economy and preferably, the UK
- An understanding of regional economic issues an advantage
- Excellent communications skills
- Excellent written and spoken English. Proficiency in written and spoken Malay advantageous
- Self-motivation and ability to work under light supervision
- Be willing to travel that involves overnight stays.
